About Copas Health

Over the years, we have learned that healthcare is NOT one size fits all. Patients are eager to learn about their body and improve their health. It is a journey and sometimes not easy. It can be very complex putting all of the pieces of your health together.

Our Mission

Our staff is dedicated to making sure every patient that comes to our office feels like we are looking for the ROOT cause of their specific issue.. Many patients tell us that they feel overlooked, or discounted by other providers. Our patients should feel valued, validated, understood and cared for when they leave the office. Our mission is also to EDUCATE our patients so they can understand what their body, mind and spirit need for whole health.

The most common concerns patients have expressed  are:

“I just don’t feel like myself.”

“I’ve had my hormones checked but my healthcare provider says everything is normal.”

“You are probably going to think I’m crazy, but….”

We want our patients to know: You are not alone! If you feel like something is not right... then it probably is not right! Let's take time to figure out what is going on.

Ashley Hettinger, MSN, FNP-C

Ashley is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, with over 7 years of medical experience in critical care, cardiovascular disease, women & men’s health, gut health, metabolic disorders, and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

Ashley graduated from Indiana University Southeast with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and achieved a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. She has completed in-depth training in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy led by Dr. Neal Rouzier, attended courses from The School of Applied Functional Medicine, and completed a functional health coaching certification. With the support of a functional health coach, Ashley was set free from her chronic fatigue and hormone dysfunction. She now dedicates her life work to providing patient-centered care to uncover and address the root cause of the body’s imbalances.

In her spare time, you can find her playing with her daughter, husband, and two dogs. Ashley is a travel enthusiast and loves to explore new cultures, food, and activities. During the summer, you can find her lounging by the pool, wake surfing at the lake, and hiking with friends and family. In the winter, she enjoys cozy bonfires and snowboarding.
